Coral is not a colour that most of us instantly reach for in or wardrobe. It can feel quite bright next to all the other more usual colours we wear on a day to day basis. Grey, blue, black, washed and muted tones are easy to pair, wear and put together for lots of different occasions, work or play. Even though these more muted tomes are easy to wear, they often don’t work for us, or brighten our complexions, add interest or give an outfit a lift like a coral or orange pink does. Most women’s skin tones are on the olive or pale white pink spectrum and coral really compliment both of these different sorts of complexion. The other thing is that corals go well with grey and white hair colours so they are a very easy way to know your not picking something that is going to drain you or take detract in any way.
The other great thing about them is that they go really well with all those blues, navy’s, grey, black and monochrome things that make up the largest percent of most wardrobes, so its a great way to give an already existing work wear wardrobe or weekend wardrobe a bit of a lift.
Women in transitional periods of their lives often feel like a change in what they would usually reach for and in AIRR we are always suggesting these colours for this reason, because not only does it give most complexions and wardrobes a bit of a lift but a brighter colour can also give your spirit a lift, so if in doubt, reach for the coral!!
