Orla Kiely for People Tree; Now available at AIRR Clothing

Orla Kiely was one of the only more ethically based manufacturers at last weeks, London Fashion Week, as well as this she has designed a very successful capsule collection for People Tree these past few years. We love the new spring collection and as always it’s the prints that make it stand apart.

Orla Kiely was founded in 1995 and signatures of her style are her love of pattern, colour, texture and rhythm, which all play and work together.

Her style also simplifies and stylises everyday motifs and forms (most often from nature) & adds another dimension. With clean orderly repeat construction, and a boldness of scale, her work achieves strength with a very modern quality. Her work is also reminiscent of all things mid-century, an Iconic period of design with clean sleek lines, geometric features and muted colour palates that designers today continue to love. This helps make her patterns charming, uplifting, instantly recognisable and effortlessly stylish to wear.

The pieces in the new spring collection are great for pairing to add interest to work wear or make a casual look for the weekend a bit more interesting. As always this collection is organic cotton and will last longer than high street fabrics, as well as the tailoring being classic enough to transition between seasons and be timeless pieces.

Our favourite pieces are the wallflower printed trousers and top, great for the brave to wear together or easy separates to wear with classic summer white. Check out the video below with Orla Kiely and CEO of People Tree Safia Minney discussing the recent Spring Summer collaboration.
